Mentorship Program Exhibit

A special case where being covered in spots looks real good. In the AIGA Mentorship Program, student members and professional members are matched and collaborate over four months to encourage creative and professional growth. SPOT is the culminating event for the program and the resulting work is the spotlight for the evening. The winning work is given a $500 scholarship presented by AIGA Orlando!

FreeRice… Feed the World

[SinglePic not found]

I recently came across this site, FreeRice.com, which I thought it is very nice and creative. It works when you: you go to FreeRice.com and play their vocabulary game, for each question answered correctly 20 grains of rice to the United Nations World Food Program. It is a win-win situation – you get to play the game, FreeRice get the traffics, advertisers get their exposure, and people get the free rice. If you like the idea, please help to spread out the word. For more details, please read their FAQ page.

The rice that is donated is distributed by the United Nations World Food Program (WFP). WFP is the world’s largest food assistance agency, working with over 3,000 other organizations in over 75 countries. In addition to providing food, WFP helps hungry people to become self-reliant so that they escape hunger for good. Wherever possible, WFP buys food locally to support local farmers and the local community. Please visit the WFP website to learn more at www.wfp.org.
